New Delhi: Abhishek Sharma continued his run-scoring spree for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 with a 13-ball 35
against the Punjab Kings. Abhishek looked in fine form and played in his usual attacking fashion as he combined with his opening partner, Travis Head, to get SRH off to a flyer after being asked to bat first in the game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Abhishek’s 35 off 13 balls was laced with four sixes and two fours as he achieved a remarkable feat in T20 cricket. The swashbuckling left-hander joined Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in an elite list by becoming only the fifth Indian batter to complete 300 sixes in T20 cricket in India. Rohit, Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson are the only other Indian batters with more than 300 sixes in the shortest format in India.
Rohit leads the elite list with 388 sixes in 320 T20 matches in India. Abhishek has managed to cross the 300 sixes mark in T20s in just 153 matches in India. Abhishek needed only two sixes to complete 300 T20 sixes in India in SRH’s clash against Punjab Kings on Wednesday. He hit four maximums en route to his 35-run knock to take his tally to 302.
