Rockstar Games has finally given players a much longer look at Grand Theft Auto VI , and music is already becoming a big talking point. The GTA 6 Extended
Look, released on August 27, runs through Vice City and Leonida with Jason and Lucia, and its soundtrack jumps between hip-hop, rock, pop, country, Latin and electronic music. Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.
Anyone who has spent hours driving around Los Santos with the radio on will know how quickly GTA songs get stuck in your head. This new footage has the same feeling. Some tracks sit quietly behind scenes, others are hard to miss. At least 14 licensed songs have been identified in the Extended Look so far.

GTA 6 music is already mixing old and new
The selection suggests GTA 6 will keep the series’ habit of throwing very different eras and genres onto its radios. Depeche Mode, Def Leppard and Phil Collins sit beside Kodak Black, Sexyy Red and modern electronic acts.
Previous GTA 6 trailers have featured songs including Tom Petty’s Love Is a Long Road, The Pointer Sisters’ Hot Together and Wang Chung’s Everybody Have Fun Tonight.
Rockstar has not released the full GTA 6 radio station or soundtrack list yet. With GTA 6 scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, plenty more music could surface before launch.
