2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: What’s new?
The Leader Edition receives several exterior changes that give it a distinctive look. These include a redesigned signature front grille, gloss-black alloy wheels with matching hub caps, black rear door garnish, a black roof and a black-finished antenna. Toyota has also added body-side mouldings and an exclusive hood emblem to complement the SUV’s muscular styling.
Inside, the Fortuner Leader Edition features dual-tone black and maroon seat upholstery, complemented by matching black-and-maroon door trims. Ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates are among the additions intended to give the cabin a more premium feel.
The updated SUV also gets auto-folding outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). These additions bring extra convenience and help drivers monitor tyre pressure.
The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is offered exclusively with a 4×2 configuration, with buyers able to choose between manual and automatic transmissions. It is available in three exterior colours, which include Super White, Platinum White Pearl and Attitude Black. The manual edition is priced at Rs 36.51 lakh, while the automatic is priced at Rs 38.72 lakh.
For the longest time, the Fortuner has been a favourite on the Indian road. It is a tough off-roader that has almost ruled its segment without any challenge. It has been in the market for 15 years, and as a premium SUV, the Fortuner has been a favourite. Toyota says it has sold over 3.3 lakh units of the SUV.
