New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday celebrated the BJP’s historic victory in West Bengal and the BJP-NDA’s successive win in Assam.

blooms in West Bengal! Assam blesses BJP-NDA once again!” PM Modi posted on X while reacting to the election results.
In his tweet, the prime minister described the West Bengal verdict as a triumph of people’s power and the BJP’s politics of good governance. He said the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections “will be remembered forever” and bowed to the people of the state for giving the BJP a spectacular mandate.
“I assure them that our Party will do everything possible to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of the people of West Bengal. We will provide a Government that ensures opportunity and dignity to all sections of society,” Modi added.
He also saluted the tireless efforts of BJP karyakartas who worked for years despite all adversities to strengthen the party at the grassroots.
For Assam, the PM thanked the people for reposing faith in the NDA and assured continued focus on the state’s development and transformation. He praised the dedication of BJP and NDA workers for the alliance’s impressive performance.
With the two wins, the BJP has achieved a historic breakthrough by winning power in West Bengal for the first time, while the NDA has secured a third consecutive term in Assam.578ms
