New Delhi: Tata Motors is ending the year with heavy discounts across its electric vehicle range, making December one of the best months to buy a Tata EV.
Most models in the lineup including the Curvv EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV and Tiago EV are getting major benefits through cash offers, exchange bonuses and scrappage deals. However, Tata states that the offer may vary state to state and is applicable on manufacturing year 2024 stock.
These discounts vary by variant and dealership, but the overall reduction is significant, especially for first-time EV buyers looking for lower entry prices. With battery ranges stretching from around 200 km to more than 500 km depending on the model, These updated offers make Tata’s electric cars easier to buy and more value-for-money. Here’s a look at the discounts available on each model.
Tata Curvv EV: December discount
Tata Motors is offering some big year-end discounts on its electric cars, and the highest benefit right now is on the Tata Curvv EV. The Curvv, which is positioned as a stylish coupe-style SUV, is getting a total discount of up to Rs 1.71 lakh. This amount includes cash benefits, exchange bonuses and scrappage offers. These offers apply only to the electric version. Before discounts, the Curvv EV costs Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh on-road in Mumbai. Tata claims the Curvv EV can run up to 430 km with its 45 kWh battery and up to 502 km with the bigger 55 kWh battery.
Tata Punch EV: December discount
Next is the Tata Punch EV, which is the most affordable electric SUV from the company. It is currently available with discounts of up to Rs 1.2 lakh. This includes cash discounts, a green bonus and exchange or scrappage benefits. The final discount amount depends on the specific variant. Without any offers, the Punch EV is priced between Rs 10.39 lakh and Rs 15.31 lakh on-road in Mumbai. Tata says the Punch EV can deliver a range of 210 km with its smaller 25 kWh battery and 290 km with the larger 35 kWh unit.
Tata Nexon EV: December discount
The Tata Nexon EV, one of the most popular electric SUVs in the country, is also getting considerable benefits. The discount on the Nexon EV goes up to Rs 1.41 lakh this month. The exact amount varies by variant. The Nexon EV competes with the MG ZS EV and Mahindra XUV400. Its on-road price in Mumbai ranges from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh before the discount. Tata claims that the Nexon EV can travel 275 km on a 30 kWh battery and 489 km on a 45 kWh battery.
Tata Tiago EV: December discount
Finally, the smallest EV in Tata’s lineup, the Tiago EV, is being offered with benefits worth up to Rs 1.3 lakh, again depending on the variant. The Tiago EV is priced between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 11.14 lakh on-road in Mumbai before any discounts. According to Tata, the car can cover 293 km on a single charge using its 45 kWh battery.
