New Delhi: IndiGo passengers faced trouble booking tickets and completing online check-in on Wednesday after the airline’s reservation platform ran into
technical problems. Users searching for flights on the IndiGo website were shown a “no data available” message in some cases, according to Reuters.
The disruption affected both bookings and check-in, making it a frustrating few hours for people trying to sort out travel plans. IndiGo later acknowledged that its core reservation platform was facing intermittent issues and said its teams were working with a partner to fix the problem. The airline did not identify the partner or say what caused the outage.
What happened to the IndiGo website?
Reuters journalists in at least three Indian cities were unable to book tickets through the airline’s website during the disruption. Another travel booking platform displayed a message saying, “the airline systems are currently experiencing a technical problem. Please try again in a short while.”
Complaints soon appeared on X too. Some users said they could not complete web check-in through either the IndiGo website or app. One passenger told the airline that customer care was unable to help because of apparent server problems, Reuters reported.
What should IndiGo passengers do?
IndiGo advised passengers needing immediate travel help to contact its call centre. Those travelling later were asked to try the website or app again after some time.
The outage comes months after IndiGo faced a much bigger operational crisis in December 2025, when around 4,500 flights were cancelled amid pilot roster problems, disrupting travel for thousands of passengers across India.
For Wednesday’s outage, IndiGo has so far described the problem as intermittent, with work underway to restore normal access.
