The leak first gained attention after YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming reportedly showed the supposed email on stream. The alleged Best Buy promotion reads, “GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game). Duration: May 18, 2026 – May 21, 2026. Online Sale: 5%.” For now, this is still not official information from Rockstar Games or Take-Two, so fans should treat it carefully.
GTA 6 pre-order leak: What has surfaced?
The Reddit post on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours claims that several people with Best Buy affiliate accounts received similar emails. Some users also shared screenshots and video proof, while a GTAForums user reportedly wrote, “Checked my affiliate Gmail account and can confirm this email is real.”
That sounds exciting, of course. But in 2026, screenshots are not final proof. We live in a time where even a fake email can look cleaner than my real inbox. So yes, the leak is interesting, but it is not confirmed.
