New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced the ICAI Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate January 2026 auditing and ethics
exam new dates. The exam which was earlier scheduled to be held today, January 19 which now be conducted on January 31 as per the new dates. ICAI has released the notice regarding the new exam date on the official website, icai.org.
ICAI has explained that all other CA Intermediate exam 2026 papers will be conducted as per the set timetable. There will be no changes in the schedule except for paper 5.
The official notice release by ICAI reads, ‘The rescheduled examination, as aforementioned shall be held at the same examination centre and at the same timings i.e., 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM (IST). Admit Cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled date’.
The ICAI CA auditing and ethics exam has been rescheduled twice. The exam was initially scheduled to be held on January 15, however, it was postponed to January 19.

‘It may be emphasized that there would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination scheduled being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Holiday. Remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Foundation January 2026 Examination shall be held as scheduled i.e. 20th, 22nd & 24th January 2026’, the notice further reads.

The ICAI CA May 2026 foundation exam application process is underway and candidates can fill the form till March 16 without any late fee. In the ICAI’s CA May 2026 application correction timeline, candidates can make changes in the exam city and medium. The application correction process will remain open from March 20 to March 22.
