New Delhi: Salman Khan had a lot to say about social media trolling during the latest Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode. What began with a discussion
around comments on celebrities’ looks and weight soon turned into a larger conversation about online negativity, celebrity weight gain and why actors are expected to speak on every issue.
Salman‘s hit back at trolls, and the paid negative campaigns during the episode have since caught attention on social media, with several clips from the conversation going viral.
Salman Khan on why Bollywood doesn’t speak up on political issues
It has been often asked and said that celebrities maintain silence over political issues in the country. Reacting to celebrities being called out for their silence, Salman said, “On the other hand, there are people who also do good work on social media. I feel nice seeing that. While the industry people don’t react, some don’t want to comment on the political aspect of what is happening in the country. We don’t want to do it, it’s our wish. We might not have the knowledge or don’t want to get into this. Why should we get into this.”
He added, “So that one journalist asks, and everyone runs it for TRP. I don’t want to be a part of that. It is your job: you go find out what the truth is, and you come tell us. You have to inform us, tell us. You don’t have to bring us into it by asking for our opinion or comment. But they want trolls.”
Salman Khan’s comments spark discussion online
The Bigg Boss 20 host’s remarks have added another talking point to the weekend episode. His comments on trolling, film reviews and the expectations placed on celebrities have been widely discussed online.

The episode also saw Salman directly addressing trolls over comments about his age, weight and appearance. At one point, he removed his T-shirt while responding to those who had criticised his physique, turning the moment into one of the most talked-about parts of the episode.
