New Delhi: The wait for the trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is almost over, as the creators are ready to show the highly anticipated trailer at San
Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), before sharing it with the world on July 24.
On Wednesday, lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash were spotted leaving Mumbai for San Diego to take part in the big pop culture event, for the major international launch of their film.

The Ramayana discussion is set to happen on Thursday (July 23) at 3:15 PM PDT inside the 4,800-seat Ballroom 20 at SDCC. Hosted by entertainment reporter Coy Jandreau, the event will feature Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, director Nitesh Tiwari, and producer Namit Malhotra.

In this session, the team plans to share their main ideas for the movie, its massive production effort, character growth, and how they adapted the ancient Indian story for a worldwide audience.

Reports state that the team will also show special unreleased clips before releasing the official movie trailer.
Ramayana trailer release time
Based on the Comic-Con schedule, the session will run between 3:15 AM and 4:15 AM IST on July 24, which is when people at San Diego Comic-Con will get to see the new trailer.

Fans in India hoping to catch their first look at the trailer might need to wait just a bit longer. According to a screenshot shared online from the official page of PVR Pictures, the trailer is planned to launch at 10 AM IST on July 24 on online platforms and in movie halls.
At the same time, some reportsalso suggest that the trailer will come out by 8 AM IST. Still, the creators have only said July 24 is the final launch date and have not given an exact launch time yet.
Ramayana English-dubbed version to premiere at Comic-Con?
The creators are also likely to show a special English-dubbed version of the trailer during the Comic-Con event. The production team says that the English version will use AI lip-sync technology so the actors’ lips move in line with the spoken English lines for global viewers. This effort is part of the movie’s detailed international release plan.

Ramayana story officially revealed
The official San Diego Comic-Con summary for the movie reads, “In an age of gods and kings, the fate of worlds hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice and the greater good, must face Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and vengeance, powerful enough to shatter the cosmos.”
Ramayana cast and release date
Ramayana features one of the largest actor lineups ever put together for an Indian movie. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, and Sai Pallavi plays Sita. Yash will appear Ravana, alongside Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey playing Lakshman.
The film also features Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Arun Govil as King Dashrath, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Adinath Kothare as Bharata, with Anupam Kher giving his voice for Jatayu. The film is scheduled to have a Diwali 2026 release and the second part slated for Diwali 2027 release.
