New Delhi: Tata Motors has introduced a new range of 17 commercial vehicles, marking one of its biggest truck launches in India. New diesel models, electric
trucks, and updated versions of current platforms like Prima, Signa, and Ultra are all included in the portfolio, which includes trucks weighing between 7 and 55 tonnes. All the newly launched vehicles meet global safety standards and are aimed at improving safety.

Azura range targets ILMCV segment

The brand-new Azura line, created for the Intermediate and Light Commercial Vehicle (ILMCV) market, is the launch’s high point. The Azura trucks are intended for use in e-commerce, FMCG distribution, white goods delivery, construction material transportation, agriculture and regional logistics. They will be available in configurations ranging from 7 to 19 tonnes.
It is powered by a new 3.6-litre diesel engine, which focuses on better performance and fuel efficiency. Tata Motors has also worked on driver comfort and cabin design to reduce fatigue during long working hours. The company says Azura is aimed at improving productivity and ensuring higher vehicle uptime across daily commercial operations.
Electric trucks expand Tata’s EV portfolio
Ultra E7 specifications
Tata Motors has also expanded its electric commercial vehicle line-up with new models across light and heavy-duty segments. The Ultra EV range includes electric trucks in seven, nine and 12-tonne configurations, primarily meant for urban, regional and closed-loop operations.
In the heavy-duty space, the company has introduced electric versions of its Prima range. The Prima E.55S electric prime mover is targeted at long-haul transport, while the Prima E.28K electric tipper is aimed at mining and construction use. These models are positioned to support lower running costs and zero-emission operations in demanding work conditions.
