New Delhi: Skoda has launched the Kylaq Sportline in India with prices falling in the ballpark of Rs 11.32 lakh to Rs 12.32 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sportline is
placed between the mid-spec Signature+ and the higher-spec Prestige trims and gets a few blacked-out exterior and interior elements for a sportier look.
Further, Skoda also offers auto AC and a rear defogger from the base-spec Classic trim. The Skoda Kylaq Sportline comes with the familiar visual formula as the Sportline versions of the Kushaq and Slavia. It has brought a range of blacked-out exterior elements for a more aggressive appearance.
The 17-inch alloy wheels, ORVMs, roof and faux skid plates on both bumpers are finished in black. It also gets a roof spoiler, while Sportline badges have been added to the C-pillar and tailgate. The Skoda lettering positioned between the tail-lights is also blacked out.
The Sportline is the most affordable Kylaq variant to feature projector LED headlights and LED fog lamps with a cornering function. Lower variants instead use LED reflector headlights.
Darker Interior With Sporty Touches
The cabin adopts an all-black theme, with leatherette upholstery featuring contrasting white stitching. The front seat headrests carry Sportline branding, while aluminium pedals and white ambient lighting add to the sportier character.
Equipment includes a single-pane sunroof, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six-speaker audio system, 8-inch digital driver’s display and wireless smartphone charging.
Under the hood, the Kylaq Sportline comes with the familiar 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. It produces 115hp and 178Nm and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Buyers can also opt for a dedicated Sportline accessory package to further differentiate the SUV. The kit includes front bumper corner garnishes, a dark-chrome grille garnish, Skoda-branded fender garnishes and gloss-black side mouldings. Skoda has not yet announced the price of this accessory pack.
Skoda has been busy in more recent times, bringing the next batch of Skoda Octavia, which is limited to 50 units. The brand also recently unveiled the Skoda Slavia facelift and the Superb’s diesel version.
