New Delhi: We are all familiar with the two main Navratri festivals that are celebrated twice a year, but there are actually four Navratris that occur
each year. One of the kinds is Gupt Navratri, which mainly falls in January, or the Magha month, known as Gupt Navratri, and this year the festival will start from January 19, 2026, on Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha.

- Ghatasthapana Muhurat – January 19, 2026 – 07:14 AM to 10:46 AM
- Ghatasthapana Abhijit Muhurat – January 19, 2026 – 12:11 PM to 12:53 PM
Gupt Navratri 2026 rituals
- Take a bath early in the morning.
- Wear nice and clean clothes.
- Take a wooden plank and place the idol of Goddess Durga on it.
- Light a diya of pure desi ghee in front of the idol.
- Adorn the idol with a garland, dupatta, and sindoor.
- Take a water-filled kalash, spread some akashat and place the kalash on the top, covering with coconut.
- Do ghatsthapana by invoking the idol of Maa Durga.
- Perform puja to obtain the idol’s blessings after chanting Vedic mantras.
- Many devotees observe a fast for nine days.
