New Delhi: The Income Tax Department has reportedly launched a search operation at multiple locations linked to prominent names from the Hindi film industry,
including veteran filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani, actress Rakul Preet Singh and Panorama Studios.
According to our sources, teams from the Mumbai Income Tax Department are conducting searches at around 12 locations linked to Vashu Bhagnani, Rakul Preet Singh and Panorama Studios. According to the report, the Income Tax Department had been receiving inputs about large amounts of money allegedly being sent overseas in connection with the film shoots, production and overseas distribution.

The Income Tax Department is examining whether there were any tax irregularities or financial discrepancies linked to these transactions. As part of the operation, separate teams are said to be searching offices and other premises across Mumbai.
The Income Tax Department is expected to examine documents and financial records as part of the operation. More details could emerge once the search proceedings are completed and the department releases further information.

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh is a popular actor who has done both Hindi and South Indian films. She has appeared in films, including De De Pyaar De, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Dhruva, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Dev, NGK, Bruce Lee: The Fighter, and Ayalaan, among others.
Vashu Bhagnani is a veteran producer associated with Pooja Entertainment, which has backed several Bollywood projects, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Ganapath, and Mission Raniganj, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Biwi No. 1, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Bell Bottom, Cuttputlli, and Om Jai Jagadish.
