New Delhi: RailOne app is revolutionising the train ticket booking process of Indian Railways. The Ministry of Railways has announced to provide 3 per
cent % discount on the purchase of unreserved tickets through RailOne App using digital payment methods from January 14 to July 14, 2026. It has been clarified that passengers booking unreserved tickets through R-Wallet, will continue to be eligible for getting 3 per cent cash back.
The discounts are aimed at making everyday rain travel more affordable and tech-friendly. There are other digital platforms to book train tickets such as IRCTC Rail Connect and UTSonMobile.
RailOne App Features
The RailOne app was launched in July 2025 with an aim to improve passenger interface with railways. It is a comprehensive, all-in-one application with a user-friendly interface for passenger services, available on Android and iOS platforms.
RailOne App helps passengers’ railway journey become smarter and simpler. The app allows train travellers to book tickets, check live status, order food and more all in one platform.
It integrates all the passenger services such as:
- Unreserved UTS Tickets via R-Wallet to Get 3% Discount
- Live train tracking
- Grievance redressal
- E-catering, porter booking & last-mile taxi
Meanwhile, Indian Railways has made it clear that Reserved tickets will continue to be offered on IRCTC. “RailOne app has also been authorised by IRCTC just like many other commercial apps who have partnered with IRCTC. RailOne features a single-sign-on with login via mPIN or biometric. It also supports existing RailConnect & UTS credentials. The app is space-saving, as there is no need to install multiple apps,” an official release stated.
