New Delhi: Swashbuckling Indian opener Abhishek Sharma continues to hold the top spot in the latest ICC T20I rankings despite a dismal run in the T20 World

Ishan climbs three places
Fiery Indian batter Ishan Kishan has climbed three places to occupy the fifth position in the T20I batting rankings. With 176 runs under his belt, he is India’s highest run-scorer in the marquee event. Among some other batters, Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan, who is currently the tournament’s leading run-scorer, has jumped two places to the third position with a career-best rating.
South Africa’s Dewald Brevis, on back of a good performance, has jumped 10 places to occupy the ninth spot while Afghanistan batter Ibrahim Zadran is placed on the 13th spot with West Indies skipper Shai Hope on 14th and English skipper Harry Brook placed on 18th. In the all-rounders’ list, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza has reclaimed the number one spot while Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube are placed on 3rd and 7th position respectively.
As far as the bowlers are concerned, Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy has retained his number one position despite against South Africa while Bumrah is placed on the 8th spot. Proteas pacer Corbin Bosch jumped 21 places to third after stellar performances, including a three-wicket haul against UAE and figures of 2/12 versus India.
