New Delhi: FUJIFILM India has unveiled the instax mini Evo Cinema™, a novel hybrid video/instant image camera with a touch of video capturing capability
and instant photographical printing element. The camera builds on the already popular Evo series by incorporating cinematic features that allow users to convert short videos into physical instax prints that have a QR code which when scanned will replay the captured moment. The product will target users who desire additional creativity in handling it but retain the essence of instant photography.
The instax mini Evo Cinema™ Premium Edition will retaliate at Rs 47,999 and will be sold as a combo pack together with two packages of instax™ mini glossy film. Pre-orders are available between 21 to 27 January 2026 on the official instax India shop, where the customers will get two more designer film packs. The commencement of sales and dispatches is 28 January 2026.
Video-to-print: New twist to instant cameras
The camera will enable users to take videos of up to 15 seconds and turn them into instax™ prints. Every print has a QR code which will take one to the video making it easy to replay or even share digitally. Customers are allowed to pick certain frames in the video prior to printing giving the end result more control.
Eras Dial™ adds a time-travel effect
One of its most important points is the new Eras Dial 10 styles, which are designed based on the decades. The number of intensity levels in each era is 10, and it generates a total of 100 differences. These are effects of both images and sound that replicate textures, such as film grain, tape noise, and sound cues of the past.
The design of the vertical grip of the camera is inspired by the traditional 8mm cameras of Fujifilm. The analog feel is supplemented with a print lever, physical dials and the back LCD screen assists in digital preview and choice.
The specific application gives video editing, clip merging, and direct printing opportunities on smartphones. It comes with this that the instax mini Evo Cinema has both the camera, video and the smartphone printer embedded in a single device.
