New Delhi: Warner Bros. has dropped the first trailer for Batman: Knightfall Part 2 – Knightquest, giving fans a glimpse of what happens when Bruce Wayne
is forced to step away from the Batman mantle. The trailer was released as part of the celebrations around Batman Day and introduces a new Dark Knight for Gotham.
The animated film continues the story from Batman: Knightfall Part 1 – Knightfall. After his brutal showdown with Bane, Bruce Wayne is left seriously injured and unable to protect Gotham City. With the city descending into chaos, someone else has to take over his responsibilities.
Knightfall Part 2 – Knightquest trailer out
Instead of handing over the cowl to Dick Grayson, also known as Nightwing, or Tim Drake’s Robin, Bruce chooses Jean-Paul Valley, better known as Azrael, to become Gotham’s new protector. However, Azrael is very different from Bruce. He takes a much harsher approach to crime and is willing to cross lines that Batman never would. His violent methods soon put him at odds with Nightwing and raise questions about what will happen to Bruce’s legacy.
At the same time, Bane continues to tighten his grip on Gotham. With criminals back on the streets and the city’s most dangerous villain growing stronger, Azrael faces a difficult challenge as he tries to prove himself as Batman. The new trailer also gives viewers a glimpse of Two-Face. However, Warner Bros. has not yet revealed who will voice the character or provided details about some of the other new additions to the film.
Who voices Batman and Bane in Knightquest?
Anson Mount returns as the voice of Batman. The actor previously voiced Bruce Wayne in the animated film Injustice.
Michael Mando lends his voice to Bane, while Pablo Schreiber voices Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael. Jeff Wamester, who directed the Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths animated trilogy, is at the helm of Knightquest.
The film is part of a three-movie adaptation of the popular Knightfall comic storyline, which was originally published between 1993 and 1994. The second chapter, Knightquest, focuses on the period when Bruce Wayne is sidelined and Azrael takes over as Batman.
When will Batman: Knightquest release?
Batman: Knightfall Part 1 – Knightfall was released digitally on August 25, 2026. The second instalment, Knightquest, is scheduled to arrive later in 2026, although an exact release date has not been announced.
The third and final film, Batman: Knightfall Part 3 – KnightsEnd, is expected to release in 2027.
The Knightfall storyline is known for putting Bruce Wayne through one of the toughest phases of his life. The animated trilogy now brings that story to a new generation of Batman fans, with Knightquest exploring what happens when Gotham gets a very different version of its Dark Knight.
