New Delhi: The next-generation Hyundai Creta has been spotted testing, amidst expectations of its arrival in calendar year 2027. Currently, the mid-size
SUV is coming in its second-generation iteration. As per the spy images from CarBuzz, it is obvious that the Creta will be a little bigger in size.
At present, it measures 4,330mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,635mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,610mm. The ground clearance stands at 190 mm, with the boot capacity sitting at 433 litres. At first glance, it is clear there is a heavy update with a new grille and refreshed headlamps. The taillamp appears to be redesigned as well, and is likely to be an LED unit. Hyundai is also set to offer new alloy wheels with the Creta 2027.

Hyundai Creta might follow Kia Seltos footsteps in terms of dimensions
Last year, we saw the Kia Seltos come with slightly bigger dimensions, and it was kind of given that Creta would go for a size upgrade. At its present iteration, the Creta comes loaded in the mid-SUX segment. For Hyundai, the Creta is a volume driver in the Indian market, and it is obvious why it needs to make the mid-size SUV feature-loaded.
It is expected that the new Creta will come with bigger screens for infotainment and the instrument cluster. It is expected to come with a redesigned dashboard, central console and ventilation for the first and second rows. The biggest reason for the ICE version of Creta’s success is the multiple powertrain options. There is an option for naturally-aspirated petrol, turbo petrol and diesel engines that are paired with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
The Creta 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. What one would hope is that the Creta also comes with a hybrid powertrain as well, which has been on the rise in more recent years.
