Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries is preparing for one of the biggest events in India’s stock market this year. Its digital services subsidiary, Jio
Platforms, will open its initial public offering (IPO) for subscription on October 21, 2026, according to its latest regulatory filing. The public issue will remain open until October 23, giving retail and institutional investors three days to submit their applications. The proposed listing could become the largest IPO in India’s history, surpassing the record set by Hyundai Motor India in 2024.
Jio Platforms has filed an updated prospectus as it moves closer to its stock market debut. The company is seeking a valuation of approximately ₹10.3 lakh crore, according to Reuters. Earlier reports suggested that the IPO could raise around ₹37,700 crore. The listing would give investors direct exposure to Reliance’s telecom and digital services businesses, which include mobile connectivity, broadband, cloud services and artificial intelligence.
Jio Platforms IPO: Important dates and issue details
According to the filing and published IPO schedules, the key dates are:
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Anchor investor bidding | October 19, 2026 (expected) |
| IPO opens | October 21, 2026 |
| IPO closes | October 23, 2026 |
| Share allotment | October 26, 2026 (expected) |
| Expected stock market listing | October 28, 2026 |
The company plans to issue up to 27 crore fresh equity shares. The offering does not include a sale of existing shares by current shareholders, according to the draft prospectus.
Jio IPO price band and Reliance shareholder quota
Market reports have indicated an expected IPO price band of ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share. Investors should check the final offer document for confirmed pricing, lot size and application requirements.
A separate allocation has been proposed for eligible Reliance Industries shareholders, with shares worth up to ₹2,500 crore reserved under the offering. Eligibility and application rules will determine who can use this category.
Why is the Jio Platforms IPO significant?
Jio Platforms is one of Reliance Industries’ largest digital businesses. Its operations extend beyond mobile telecom services into home broadband, enterprise technology, cloud computing and AI.
The company counts global technology groups Meta and Google among its investors. Its public listing will allow the stock market to value the digital business separately from Reliance Industries’ other major operations.
For investors, the IPO presents an opportunity to assess Jio’s earnings, debt, future spending plans and competition with telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel.
The final issue pricing and investor demand will determine the amount raised and the company’s valuation at listing.
What happens next?
With the subscription window opening on October 21, attention will turn to the final price band, investor applications and share allotment.
If the proposed schedule remains unchanged, Jio Platforms shares could begin trading on the BSE and NSE on October 28, 2026.
