New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 4.6 magnitude on the Richter Scale struck Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday morning. The tremors were
felt in the district at around 5:35 am, with the epicentre located in the Pattan area.
As of now, there has been no report of any loss of life or damage to property, officials said. According to the National Centre of Seismology, the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10km. The tremors were felt in India and Pakistan.
Videos surfaced on social media show the intensity of the tremors captured in the CCTV cameras.

Earlier, an earthquake of 4.6 magnitude also hit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Monday at about 3.30 am.
