New Delhi: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has once again come under the spotlight. Recently, Republic TV conducted a sting operation where Cooper Hospital’s
former mortuary staff member, Roopkumar Shah, made some shocking claims surrounding the post-mortem of the late actor.
The sting reportedly features Roopkumar Shah, a former mortuary staff member associated with Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital, where Sushant’s post-mortem was conducted. Shah has made several allegations about injuries he claims to have observed on the actor’s body.
What did Roopkumar Shah claim about Sushant Singh Rajput?
According to the claims aired by Republic TV, Shah alleged that Sushant had injuries that, in his view, were not consistent with a straightforward hanging. He claimed that the actor appeared to have injuries around his eyes and alleged that there were marks on his neck. Shah further claimed that Sushant had been choked multiple times before his death.
He also made an allegation involving a stun gun, claiming that it was used several times and that this resulted in a 2-3 mm deep injury around the neck. Shah reportedly told Republic TV that the marks he observed were not caused by hanging and claimed that the injuries around Sushant’s eyes could not have been self-inflicted.
He claimed that mortuary staff members conduct the physical post-mortem procedure but do not themselves prepare the final report. Another claim raised during the sting concerned the alleged lack of video recording during the post-mortem. Shah reportedly alleged that video recording was not permitted and attributed the restriction to former Mumbai police officer Sachin Waze.

Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020, six days after Salian’s death. The Mumbai Police initially investigated his death and later became the subject of a CBI investigation.
