New Delhi: Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s action sports drama, Peddi, is off to a flying start. After a long wait post the success of RRR, the actor’s
latest release has now become one of the biggest launches in Telugu cinema.
Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on its opening day. Let’s explore it in detail!
Peddi Box Office collection Day 1
Ram Charan’s Peddi has collected Rs 112.49 crore worldwide, becoming the 11th Telugu film to record an opening of over Rs 100 crore. The film collected Rs 51 crore net across 12,412 shows in the domestic market, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The total India gross collection stands at Rs 82.49 crore, and the total India net collection stands at Rs 69.50 crore.
In the overseas market, the film earned Rs 30 crore, bringing the worldwide total to Rs 112.49 crore. The film also earned Rs 18.50 crore from paid previews.
While the film minted Rs 47.20 crore in the Telugu market, Hindi added Rs 3 crore to the total collection.
According to Sacnilk, the footfalls gradually increased after strong word of mouth during the first day of its release.

Peddi is a multi-sport film; it revolves around the reason why he plays all these sports and what happens. This movie is about his identity; he finds his identity and the identity for the clan and village he comes from.”
“This was one of the most challenging scripts I heard, and became a part of. It’s written so beautifully and is very strong in its drama. The film is very uplifting; he has done a great job. I always wanted to work with Buchi Babu Sana,” he added.
