New Delhi: BMWMotorrad is set to bring its new F 450 GS to India, with the bike scheduled to launch on April 23, 2026. The model has already been unveiled
globally, and international test rides have also taken place. With the India launch now confirmed, this motorcycle will become a key part of BMW’s mid-size adventure lineup. It is also being developed in partnership with TVS, which means the bike will be manufactured in India.
One of the main highlights of the F 450 GS is a new ‘Easy Ride Clutch’ system. This feature allows riders to shift gears in regular riding conditions without using the clutch lever. How effective it is compared to similar systems like Honda’s E-Clutch will only be clear after proper road tests. The bike will be offered in four variants globally, giving buyers multiple options based on features and equipment.
Engine and performance

The F 450 GS will replace the older G 310 GS as the entry point into BMW’s adventure range. Unlike the previous model’s single-cylinder engine, this bike gets a 420cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. It produces 48hp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This setup is expected to offer smoother performance and better highway capability compared to the outgoing model.

In terms of equipment, the F 450 GS comes with a decent list of features for its segment. It includes a 6.5-inch colour TFT display, heated grips, traction control, four riding modes, and dual-channel ABS that can be switched off when needed. Globally, the bike is available in four trims, including Basic, Exclusive, Sport and Trophy. Though it is not yet confirmed which versions will be launched in India.
As for pricing, the F 450 GS is expected to be priced between Rs 4.50 lakh and Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Honda NX500 in the Indian market.
