New Delhi: Nissan have confirmed that their rival to the Renault Triber will be making its debut in India on December 18th. Back in 2023, the brand had
mentioned plans for a new B-segment MPV, which was given a glimpse of in March 2025. The MPV will be developed on the CMF-A platform that it will share with the Triber and is expected to be similar to Renault, but there will be some aesthetic changes, of course, on the inside and outside.
The Nissan MPV is likely to be called Gravite, a trademark the brand filed back in 2023. A recently released teaser suggests the model will share many design elements with the Renault Triber. However, Nissan have reworked the front bumper, with more silver accents for differentiation, along with a new grille design and updated alloy wheels.
While the headlamp seems unchanged, Nissan might introduce unique lighting signatures to set the MPV apart from its Renault sibling. The back section is also expected to feature a revised bumper and tweaked tail-lamp elements. Apart from these changes, the rest of the styling, including the sculpted bonnet and roof rails, largely resembles the Triber.

While Nissan haven’t shown the MPV’s interior, it is expected to closely resemble the Triber’s cabin, which comes with a layered dashboard setup and a three-spoke steering wheel. Nissan, however, might introduce a different interior colour and trim theme compared to Renault’s grey-and-black scheme.
The equipment list is also likely to be similar for most parts and will include a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging, push-button start/stop, and manual air-conditioning with dedicated vents for the second and third rows. In terms of safety, the MPV might offer six airbags as standard, along with front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS), hill-start assist, and a rear-view camera.
It will come with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 76 bhp and 95 Nm of torque. It comes in the Triber, the lower-spec Magnite and Kiger. Like these models, it will get a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. It might also get a CNG powertrain, fitted at dealerships. The pricing will be close to Renault’s competition and will fall between Rs 5.76 lakh and Rs 8.60 lakh.
