Mumbai: Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, in an exclusive interview with TV9, talked about mob attacks after actresses Nidhhi Agerwal and Samantha Ruth
Prabhu were mobbed in Hyderabad recently.
The actress stated that it was important to have good security. She talked about how to handle such situations. “I think in a mob situation, it’s very important to just be calm and kind of just take a quick check on all escape routes,” said the actress.
She added, “That’s always what my initial reaction is when I can kind of sense a mob, kind of, you know, the mood of the mob and the developing situation. And yeah, and I think safety first always, but it’s very important to have also good security around you.”
Nidhhi Agerwal mob attack
Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed by a crowd in Hyderabad’s Lulu Mall on December 18, 2025. Videos of the incident went viral on social media, raising security concerns for celebrities at public events. The clips showed the crowd trying to invade the actor’s private space despite being asked to step back. The clip questioned the efficiency of the security arrangements.

Following the incident, Samantha Ruth Prabhu also underwent a similar situation in Hyderabad on December 21, 2025. The actress was at Jubilee Hills for a store launch when the crowd mobbed her.
In June 2024, Raveena Tandon and her driver were attacked by a mob in Mumbai. At the time, she stated that police indicated that the attack was pre-planned. “Unfortunately, this has been going on in Mumbai, which is a planned kind of a thing. Jo ki darane ki baat hai (to intimidate). Jab ye mob ka incident hua (When this mob incident happened), in fact, the next day, my friend Richa Chadha called me. She said, ‘Raveena, you won’t believe it, the same thing happened!’ The same thing happened with Richa, and unfortunately, no CCTV cameras to record the truth. In fact, she had to pay up. She had to settle the matter. The cops told her that settle it. She, in fact, the poor thing, went ahead and settled,” said the actress to NewsX Live.
