New Delhi:Land Rover has launched the locally built Range Rover Sport Autobiography in India, priced from Rs 1.6 crore (ex-showroom), with bookings now
open. This is the first time that Autobiography trim is coming on the locally manufactured Range Rover Sport in India.
It will come powered with a 3.0-litre engine, available in petrol and diesel options, while the 4.4-litre V8 Range Rover Sport Autobiography continues as a CBU. The Range Rover Sport joins the fleet of Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Evoque, which are now assembled in India.

The Sport Autobiography comes with two 3.0-litre engines made in the locally made facility, and both are mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The D350 diesel makes 351hp and 700 Nm and can do a claimed 0-100 kph in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 234 kph. The P400 petrol makes 400hp and 550 Nm, doing 0-100 kph in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 242 kph. Powers are similar to those of the Dynamic HSE petrol and diesel trims.
The full imported version of the Range Rover Sport Autobiography still comes with a 4.4-litre V8 engine, which makes 530 bhp and 750 Nm of torque, with a claimed 0-100 kph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kph.
The Autobiography comes with subtle but quite obvious detailing over the standard Range Rover Sport. Import aspects include 22-inch forged alloy wheels with a satin black finish, red brake callipers, and Autobiography badging. It even gets a Dynamic Exterior Pack and soft-close doors.
Some other exterior elements include flush door handles, laminated glass, powered gesture tailgate, and heated, power-folding mirrors with memory and auto-dimming functions. The SUV will be coming in two new colours, which are Borasco Grey and Ostuni Pearl White, along with Santorini Black and Carpathian Grey.
