New Delhi: The much-awaited second edition of News9 Global Summit, hosted by TV9 Network, the foremost news network in India, is going to be held once
again in Germany’s Stuttgart, from October 9 to 10. The event promises to strengthen bilateral ties between India and Germany at a time when the global political hierarchy is changing, with new powers like our country raising their heads with pride and confidence.
News9 Global Summit’s theme in 2025
This year, the theme of the upcoming News9 Global Summit is ‘Democracy, Demography, Development: The India-Germany Connect’. It focuses on the relationship between the two countries, which has gone from strength to strength over the years.
Notably, last year, Barun Das, MD and CEO of TV9 Network, said, “The News9 Global Summit aims to deepen bilateral relations between India and Germany, bringing together stakeholders from diverse fields to develop actionable solutions for mutual growth. As Europe’s largest economy, Germany is a key partner for India, and this summit marks the first such initiative by an Indian news media organisation.”
What is the significance of the theme this year?
The theme of ‘Democracy, Demography, Development: The India-Germany Connect’ hails 25 years of strategic partnership between the two countries. The keynote address on this topic on October 9, 2025, at 10:00 am, revisits a bilateral journey grounded in democratic values and reinforced by shared ambitions in trade, sustainability, and innovation.
Today, with the shifting world order, global supply chains are realigning, and EU-India Free Trade Agreement talks have gained renewed momentum. Amid such a scenario, India and Germany are on the verge of deepening their collaboration, economically, technologically, and culturally. India is rapidly progressing to become the third-largest economy in the world. Hence, this address sets the stage for a new chapter in the India-Germany story, one which will be defined by robust policy coordination, deeper business links, and a vision for resilient global leadership shared by both nations.
The summit, among other things, will also take a look at how India and Germany’s strategic partnership has worked, from industrial collaboration and climate leadership to educational and diplomatic ties, while charting a course for the next 25 years. Today, India and Germany have a unique opportunity to co-author a new chapter in global leadership.
