New Delhi: Kawasaki announced the price drop on their last year launched KLX 230, which was earlier priced at Rs 3.30 lakh, now comes at a cut of Rs 1.30
lakh, making the final price of the bike is Rs 1.99 lakh.
The Kawasaki plan is to localise this bike by cutting off the price and selling it with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 lakh to create rivalry with the direct competitor of this bike, Hero Xpulse 210 at a price of Rs 1.76 to 1.86 lakh.
Mechanical Updates
Kawasaki has reduced suspension travel by 20mm at the front and 27mm at the rear, but both ends come with bigger disc brakes for better stopping power. It runs on a basic 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that provides 19hp at 7,800rpm and 19Nm of torque at 6,200rpm, along with a 6-speed gearbox.
For suspension, they use a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the back. The fuel tank capacity of 7.5 litres. Features are quite simple, with a monotone LCD display that has Bluetooth connectivity and safety provided by dual-channel ABS.
