New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) produced an excellent combined bowling effort to restrict Delhi Capitals (DC) to 155/7 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium
in New Delhi in the IPL 2026 on Tuesday, May 05. CSK’s spin twins, Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hossein, shone with the ball and continued their impressive run in the tournament to keep the DC batters at bay in the game.
Akeal and Noor bowled brilliant spells and picked up three wickets between them as DC never quite managed to get going after opting to bat first in the game. Left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary struck early in the Powerplay to dismiss DC opener Pathum Nissanka cheaply on 19 and draw the first blood for CSK.
Akeal then got the prized wicket of KL Rahul, getting him caught on 12 off 13 balls, before Noor joined the party by dismissing Karun Nair and Nitish Rana in quick succession to leave DC reeling at 61/4. Noor eventually finished with figures of 2/22 off his 3 overs, while Akeal conceded only 19 runs off his 4 overs and bagged a solitary wicket.
