New Delhi: Kia India has announced that their Seltos has crossed the 6 lakh cumulative sales in India since being launched in 2019. The milestone shows
a sustained demand for the SUV over a good seven-period time, across trims and markets, making it one of the most consistent in terms of sales amidst the mid-SUV segment.
From the very start, Seltos was a popular face in the Indian market with its very global design and multiple powertrain options, which included petrol and diesel choices, automatic transmission across all fuel types, and quite a feature-filled cabin that came with a large infotainment screen, connected car technology and even premium interior finishes.

The models more recently increased their offering, coming with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), enhanced connectivity solutions and a broader safety package. For Seltos, about 29 per cent of the sales came from the top tri,m with the mid and entry level trims showing consistent sales for value for money quotient.
Mr Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, commented on the achievement and said, “Crossing 6 lakh sales reflects sustained customer preference for a product that delivers strong fundamentals in design, safety, technology and performance. Seltos expanded expectations in the mid-SUV segment by offering features and configurations that were not widely available at the time of its launch. The consistent uptake across variants, including strong demand for top trims, indicates growing customer confidence in advanced safety systems and connected technologies.”
The new-generation Seltos was unveiled last year, and it just built on what the brand had been offering. In my personal view, I enjoyed the car’s looks, the retention of its aggressive stance, and it still gets very updated cabin and is feature-filled. The cabin quality felt refined and spacious.
