and King, among others.
As we enter the second half of the year, IMDb has released a list of the most-anticipated upcoming movies of 2026. The list reflects the pageviews from IMDb’s 250 million-plus monthly visitors worldwide between January 1 and June 28, 2026.
Most-anticipated upcoming films of 2026
1. Ramayana: Part 1
The leading Indian film on IMDb is Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Part 1, which is set to release in the second half of 2026. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by Namit Malhotra, the film is the first part of a two-part epic saga. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Yash in key roles.
2. Alpha
Bagging the number two spot was Alia Bhatt’s upcoming spy thriller, Alpha, which is set to release on July 3, 2026. The film is the latest instalment in YRF’s Spy Universe, following Pathaan, Tiger and War franchise.
3. Toxic
The number three spot was grabbed by Yash’s upcoming movie, Toxic. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, a period gangster actioner is set to release in theatres on August 26, 2026. It also features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.
4. King
The fourth position was bagged by Shah Rukh Khan starrer King. The actor is set to make his big screen comeback after a gap of three years with Siddharth Anand’s directorial. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Suhana Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Varma and Rani Mukerji. The film is set to have a Christmas release.
5. Dhamaal 4
At number five is Ajay Devgn-led Dhamaal 4. The film is set to release on JUky 3, 2026. The comedy entertainer also features Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Esha Gupta.
6. Drishyam 3
At number six is Ajay Devgn’s another movie, Drishyam 3. The film revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar as he fights to protect his family.
7. Vishwanth and Sons
The number seven spot was bagged by the Tamil movie, Vishwanth and Sons, starring Suriya. The film revolves around an international shooter, whose dreams get bogged down by family, age, responsibilities, and an unexpected romance.
8. Mirzapur: The Movie
At number eight is Ali Fazal starrer Mirzapur: The Movie, which is slated to release on September 4, 2026. The film brings back the world of Mirzapur filled with deceit, gangsters, and bloodshed. The film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, and Abhishek Banerjee, among others.
9. Haiwaan
At number nine is Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan. In the film, Saif essays the role of a visually impaired man.
10. Eetha
The number 10 position was bagged by Shraddha Kapoor starrer Eetha, which is based on the life of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The teaser of the film was released recently and created quite a buzz on social media.
Other titles in the film include Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2, Sunny Deol’s Ikka, Malayalam films Khalifa and I’m Game, Tamil films Arasan, Idhayam Murali and Sigma, the Telugu film Ranabaali, Aneet Padda’s Shakti Shalini, and Siddharth Malhotra’s Vvan: Force of the Forest.
