New Delhi: The Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the most popular superbikes in India. Now Suzuki has now added a new Special Edition to the range to make its
flagship motorcycle even more distinctive. The new version sits above the standard model and costs around Rs 1 lakh more.
The regular Hayabusa has already been updated with fresh colour options. Both variants benefit from revisions to quite a few electronic rider-assistance systems. It is worth noting that the Special Edition sold in India is the 2026 model. Suzuki has since revealed a newer 2027 Special Edition globally. That one features a different Pearl Brilliant White finish with grey accents and has not yet been introduced in India.
What’s different in the Hayabusa Special Edition offer?

The 2026 Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition is available exclusively in Pearl Vigour Blue. Along with its distinctive paint scheme, it gets unique decals, a different wheel finish and dedicated tank emblems. Suzuki has also added anodised finishes to the muffler ends and heat guards. It also includes a single-seat cowl as standard equipment.
These additions push the Special Edition’s price to Rs 19.90 lakh, Rs 91,000 more than the updated standard Hayabusa. The mechanical package remains unchanged, while several electronic features have been revised on both versions. A new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery is claimed to be lighter and more compact than before, while also providing more consistent voltage when under load.
Suzuki has also recalibrated the launch control and power mode selector settings. Another big update concerns the Smart Cruise Control system, which can now remain engaged while the rider changes gears. This lets the motorcycle continue maintaining the selected speed without needing throttle input during the shift.
The standard Hayabusa has also received three new colour combinations: Candy Daring Red with Black, Metallic Galaxy Grey with Gold, and Pearl Vigour Blue with White. Along with the revised electronics and colour choices, its price has increased by Rs 93,000, bringing the ex-showroom Delhi price to Rs 18.99 lakh.
Hayabusa Special Edition mechanically unchanged
Apart from the cosmetic and electronic updates, there are no major changes to the Hayabusa’s hardware. Both versions still use Suzuki’s 1,340cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine. The motorcycle retains its 800mm seat height and substantial 266kg kerb weight. Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema four-piston front callipers. It also continues to ride on specially made Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.
The Hayabusa’s extensive electronics package includes six riding modes, consisting of three preset modes and three customisable settings. Other rider aids include cornering ABS, traction control, launch control, cruise control, hill-hold and hill-descent control, among others. Suzuki has confirmed that the updated Hayabusa and the new Special Edition are now available through its dealerships across India.
