New Delhi: The Honda Elevate facelift is likely to make its Indian debut in early October 2026, according to dealer sources. Having debuted in 2023, the
midsize SUV is set to get a series of exterior and interior updates as part of the facelift. Honda is likely to load it with additional equipment. However, mechanically it is expected to remain unchanged.
The upgraded Elevate is likely to receive a refreshed exterior inspired partly by the newly updated Honda City. Changes might also include reworked LED lighting elements, a redesigned grille, revised bumpers and redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels. These updates might give the SUV a fresher appearance without a drastic change in its overall design.
What upgrades are expected in Elevate’s interior and feature list?
Inside, Honda could introduce a new cabin colour scheme and revised upholstery, although the basic dashboard layout is expected to remain largely familiar. The facelift is also likely to address some of the equipment gaps currently seen against its rivals. The Elevate presently misses features like a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a powered front passenger seat and rear sunblinds.
Honda recently introduced ventilated front seats and a factory-fitted 360-degree camera on the facelifted City. Both these features could be carried over to the Elevate. The existing Elevate can be equipped with a 360-degree camera, but this is only a dealer-fitted accessory.
The mechanical configuration is unlikely to change with the facelift. The Elevate should carry its 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, making 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. It will also retain the option of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT automatic.
Honda also offers the City with a strong-hybrid system based around a 1.5-litre petrol engine. It makes a combined 126 hp and 253 Nm of torque. Despite sharing its underpinnings with the City, the Elevate currently does not get this hybrid powertrain. With strong hybrids gaining momentum in the Indian market, it remains to be seen if Honda decides to give the facelift Elevate this powertrain.
The facelifted SUV is expected to command a little premium over the current model, which is priced from around Rs 11.81 lakh to Rs 16.36 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to compete in the crowded midsize SUV segment which consists of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Grand Vitara.
