New Delhi:Aston Martin has widened the DBX range with a new GT variant. It sits alongside the more performance-oriented DBX S. Rather than going for upgraded
performance, the DBX GT has been built with a stronger focus on luxury, refinement and ride comfort. Deliveries are slated to start across global markets in Q4 2026.
The GT retains the DBX S’s powertrain and performance figures. However, it comes with several mechanical changes aimed at making it more comfortable and refined. It feels like a proper Aston Martin with all its highlights lined up together.
Aston Martin DBX GT powertrain and performance
The DBX GT continues to use the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the DBX S. The engine makes 727 hp and 900 Nm and is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Power is sent to all four wheels. Despite its comfort-oriented positioning, the DBX GT is quite a fast SUV. Aston Martin claims a 0-100kph time of 3.1 seconds, while top speed is rated at 310kph.
However, the manufacturer has made many changes to the way the SUV delivers its performance. The throttle and gearbox have been recalibrated for smoother response. The suspension has been retuned to make for a more compliant ride, particularly over poor road surfaces. It also has a pair of additional dampers that have been positioned between the body and back subframe to better control unwanted movement.
The exhaust system has also received its own calibration, with Aston Martin claiming that it produces a “cleaner, richer tone.”

Aston Martin DBX GT retains the powertrain but has some mechanical upgrades
The DBX GT gets a cleaner and more sophisticated exterior treatment compared with the sportier DBX S. At the front, the bumper is now finished in body colour and does away with the red detailing seen on the S. The grille has also been redesigned, replacing the mesh pattern with horizontal slats.
Moving to the sides, the two-piece side strakes feature a satin-silver finish, while the SUV rides on 22-inch alloy wheels as standard. Customers can also opt for 23-inch wheels. The side sills and rear diffuser are both painted in body colour. This makes the GT stand apart from the more aggressive S. At the back, the main styling change is the new quad-exhaust arrangement, with the exhaust tips positioned horizontally.
Aston Martin DBX GT is more about comfort on the inside
The overall dashboard and cabin setup is largely unchanged. However, Aston Martin has made several alterations to increase the sense of luxury. The seats receive new leather upholstery and thicker memory-foam cushioning, while the cabin uses higher-grade materials in several areas.
The drive-mode selector and surrounding rotary controls get anodised metal finishes, while deep-pile carpets add to the more luxurious ambience. Customers will also be able to choose from an extensive selection of interior colours and upholstery combinations.
Aston Martin has upgraded the sound insulation and window lamination to reduce outside noise and make the cabin quieter. A fixed panoramic glass roof is standard, bringing more natural light into the interior and creating a more open feel. The DBX GT will sit alongside the DBX S in the Aston Martin SUV range, while the more performance-focused DBX 707 will continue to occupy the top position in the line-up.
