New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Gujarat on July 4 for a packed schedule covering aviation, refinery, metro, solar power,
railways and semiconductors. The Prime Minister’s Office said projects worth around INR 1.06 lakh crore will be taken up in Balotra during the visit.
The visit will begin in Jodhpur at around 10:45 AM, where PM Modi will inaugurate the new terminal building of Jodhpur Airport and launch the Modified UDAN scheme. He will later travel to Balotra and then to Sanand in Gujarat, where the CG Semi OSAT facility will be inaugurated at around 4:30 PM.
Rajasthan to get refinery, metro and airport push
In Balotra, PM Modi will dedicate India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra. The project has been set up with an investment of over INR 79,450 crore and has a capacity of 9 MMTPA.
The refinery is expected to support petrochemical industries in the region. For a place like Balotra, this is the sort of project that can change local business activity, transport movement and jobs over time.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project. The corridor will run for 41 kilometers from Prahladpura to Todi Mod and will include 36 stations.
Jodhpur airport and UDAN scheme
The new Jodhpur Airport terminal has been built at a cost of INR 480 crore. It covers more than 23,000 square meters and can handle up to 20 lakh passengers annually.
The Modified UDAN scheme comes with an allocation of INR 28,840 crore over 10 years. It includes plans for 100 aerodromes, 200 helipads and support for regional air operations.
Sanand to mark semiconductor milestone
In Gujarat, PM Modi will inaugurate the CG Semi OSAT facility in Sanand, Ahmedabad. The project has been developed with an investment of over INR 7,500 crore.
Once fully scaled, the facility is expected to produce up to 5 billion semiconductor chips each year. It will serve sectors such as automotive, telecom, 5G, IoT, industrial systems and AI-linked computing needs.
