New Delhi: Jeep has launched the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition in India to celebrate 85 years of the brand worldwide. It is based on the higher-spec
Model S (O) trim, and the prices are identical as well, starting at Rs 26.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It is limited to just 85 units.
The special edition is distinguished by some exterior decals, black alloy wheels, an all-black cabin with gold-coloured accents and some added features.
Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition: What’s new?
In terms of the exterior, the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition comes with some subtle cosmetic upgrades. The most glaring one is the ‘85’ anniversary graphics on the doors, tailgate and wheel centre caps, along with a set of gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels.

The rest of the exterior design remains unchanged. It continues to get LED headlights featuring eyebrow-style DRLs, the signature seven-slat black grille, LED fog lamps, tail-lights and rear fog lamps. The cabin gets a predominantly black theme with Mayan Gold highlights, giving the special edition a sportier appearance.
The seats are finished in black leatherette and feature contrasting gold stitching. There are also matching gold accents used for the ambient lighting and illumination around the panoramic sunroof. Jeep is also offering an 85th Anniversary AXS accessory package, which adds features including illuminated panoramic sunroof elements, a digital inside rear-view mirror and front and rear dashcams.
Other equipment is carried over from the standard Compass, including powered and ventilated front seats, a memory function for the driver’s seat, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, dual-zone climate control and wireless smartphone charging.
Jeep Compass 85th edition retains powertrain
The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition continues with the standard model’s 2.0-litre diesel engine, producing 170 hp and 350 Nm. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The automatic trim can also be mated with four-wheel drive, giving the special edition the same drivetrain flexibility as the higher-spec Compass trim. Having owned it with a six-speed, Compass is a fun SUV to drive around.
Jeep has priced the 85th Anniversary Edition at the same level as the Compass Model S (O). The company has not yet revealed the price of the optional 85th Anniversary AXS accessory pack. Bookings for the special edition are now open across Jeep dealerships in India as well as through the automaker’s online platform.
