Amazon is cutting another 121 jobs as part of a fresh round of layoffs affecting technology, corporate and fulfilment roles, according to a regulatory
filing reported by GeekWire. The latest cuts include software engineers, applied scientists, product managers, technical writers, warehouse staff and senior executives.
The move adds to a longer series of job reductions at Amazon and comes at a time when several large technology companies are still reshaping teams, reducing management layers and reviewing costs. The affected Amazon employees were informed between July 1 and July 29, with job separations expected to take effect between October 1 and October 27.

Amazon layoffs hit tech and corporate roles
The biggest group of affected workers is based at Amazon’s SEA106 office, where 49 jobs are being cut. Positions include software development engineers, applied scientists, senior software managers and a vice president of legal.
Other affected corporate roles include human resources, product management and technical writing.
Another 32 positions are being cut at Amazon’s BFI1 fulfilment centre. These include warehouse associates, service technicians and safety specialists.
Employees get 90-day notice
Amazon said affected workers received 90 days of advance notice. During this period, employees can apply for open roles within the company before their separation becomes final.
The latest cuts follow 57 job reductions earlier this summer. Amazon had earlier cut 2,198 jobs in February and another 2,303 positions in October 2025.
The company previously said larger workforce reductions were aimed at efforts to “reduce layers, increase ownership, and remove bureaucracy.”
Amazon’s latest move comes amid continued layoffs across the broader technology industry, with companies including Microsoft, Meta, Google, Salesforce, TikTok and others cutting jobs in recent months.
