New Delhi: The Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) this year can be seen as a much wider reach with higher public participation than the earlier edition. In PPC 2026,
Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly interacted with students from multiple regions.
The Prime Minister connected live with students in Delhi, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Dev Mogra (Gujarat) and Guwahati (Assam). These locations represented the east, west, north, south and central India.
Over 4.5 crore people registered
This edition of PPC witnessed massive participation with over 4.5 crore people registered, while an additional 2.26 crore participants took part in various PPC-linked activities. In total, participation crossed 6.76 crore people this year, reflecting the programme’s growing popularity and relevance.
What PPC 2025 featured
The 8th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha was telecast on February 10, 2025. Last year the event was held in a new and format at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi. There were a total of 36 students from all States and Union Territories who represented government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, CBSE schools and Navodaya Vidyalayas.
PRERANA alumni along with winners of Kala Utsav and Veer Gatha, also participated. The edition featured seven episodes covering themes such as sports and discipline, mental health, nutrition, technology and finance, creativity and positivity with insights from well-known personalities.
In 2025, PPC also set a Guinness World Record with participation from students in more than 245 countries, teachers from 153 countries and parents from 149 countries. The programme has grown from just 22,000 participants in its first edition in 2018 to 3.56 crore registrations in 2025. Along with 1.55 crore people joining nationwide Jan Andolan activities the total participation reached nearly 5 crore.
