Chennai: With only two days remaining until the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election on April 23, political parties are intensifying their efforts
in the final phase of their campaigns. The DMK is striving to retain power, while the AIADMK is battling to capture it. Campaigning is set to conclude this evening.
Vijay pens open letter to Tamil Nadu
In a post published on his ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) page, TVK leader Vijay penned a stirring letter addressed to the people, criticizing both the BJP and the DMK.
“I have entered politics solely to discharge my debt of gratitude to the people of Tamil Nadu—my own kin—who have given me everything. In this pursuit, we have been subjected to untold crises and anguish. Who, indeed, are the architects of this suffering?” Vijay asked.
He stated that the people themselves know well that the DMK is their political adversary—an anti-people, evil force—while the BJP is their ideological adversary—a divisive force that enters the fray alongside “various others.”
“Neither you nor I can ever be separated by any power structure, any anarchic force, any evil force, any fascist force, or any force comprising those ‘various others’ in this world. It is certain that the people will utterly dismantle, isolate, and cast aside every single force that attempts to drive a wedge between us,” Vijay declared.
