New Delhi: Skoda Auto has started production of the 2026 Slavia facelift at its facility in Chakan, Pune, ahead of the saloon’s debut on October 6, 2026.
Bookings for the updated midsize saloon have already commenced for Rs 15,000. The deliveries are expected to begin during the festive season.
The facelift comes with updated styling, a more feature-packed cabin and a big gearbox upgrade for the 1.0-litre TSI automatic. The new Slavia is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, with the final prices set to be announced around the launch.
2026 Skoda Slavia facelift: What’s new?
The Slavia retains its familiar overall silhouette but comes with several styling revisions. The front-end gets updated headlamps, grille and air dam, along with revised LED daytime running light signatures. At the back, the tail-lamps come with a redesign and now feature sequential turn indicators. A new trim connecting the tail-lamps also comes with ‘SKODA’ lettering.
The facelift has sportier-looking 16-inch alloy wheels, while new exterior paint choices include Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. Overall, the updates make the saloon look sharper without any heavy upgrades.
The dashboard setup remains broadly familiar. However, the Slavia facelift now comes with bigger digital displays. The existing 10-inch infotainment system has been replaced by a 10.1-inch touchscreen with updated graphics and functions. The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, replacing the outgoing car’s 8-inch unit.
Other additions in terms of features include a 360-degree camera, which replaces the outgoing rear-view camera, along with powered and ventilated front seats. The rear seats also gain a massage function, a feature shared with the Kushaq. The sedan continues to offer a single-pane sunroof, while a panoramic sunroof remains unavailable.
Other equipment includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The facelift also gets a variable-geometry AC compressor in place of the previous fixed-geometry unit, aimed at improving the air-conditioning system’s performance. An ADAS package continues to be unavailable.
2026 Skoda Slavia: Powertrain
The Slavia facelift continues with the existing pair of direct-injection turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0-litre TSI produces 115hp and 178Nm, while the larger 1.5-litre TSI develops 150hp and 250Nm.
The 1.0 TSI carries a 6-speed manual gearbox, but its automatic transmission has been given an update. The outgoing 6-speed automatic has been replaced by a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. The more powerful 1.5 TSI remains paired exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The outgoing Slavia is priced from around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18.19 lakh, ex-showroom, and the facelift is expected to command a premium. A price increase of up to Rs 85,000 is expected, though nothing is confirmed for now. The updated Slavia will continue to rival the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus in India’s midsize sedan segment. It is expected to arrive to customers in the festive season.
