Grammys 2026 Trevor Noah: Trevor Noah signed off his final hosting gig at the Grammy Awards with a monologue that was sharp, playful and unapologetically
bold. Returning for his sixth consecutive year, Noah opened the 2026 ceremony on February 1 with the confidence of someone who knew the room, and the moment belonged to him.
The night kicked off with a high-voltage performance of APT. by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, setting the tone inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Dressed in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, Noah took the stage and immediately leaned into crowd work, praising what he called a standout year for music.
He shouted out early winners Doechii and Jelly Roll, then welcomed familiar faces in the audience, including Miley Cyrus, and album of the year nominees Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber and Clipse. The room buzzed with star power, but the biggest laughs came when Noah turned his attention to two people who weren’t even there.
Trevor Noah roasts Donald Trump and Nicki Minaj
Midway through the monologue, Noah joked that Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump had skipped the Grammys for a “very important” White House meeting. He then slipped into a Trump impression and delivered the punchline: “Actually, Nicki, I have the bigger a–!” The joke landed instantly, sending waves of laughter through the arena.

The quip referenced Minaj’s recent public meeting with Trump in Washington, where she reportedly received a Trump Gold Card-themed memento. It also nodded to her increasingly vocal support of the former president on social media. Noah didn’t dwell on the politics. He let the punchline do the work.
Earlier, the host also took aim at the state of the world, joking that 2026 felt like 1999 all over again, citing a “presidential sex scandal”, widespread fear of technology, and the arrest of Diddy.
