New Delhi: Mahindra has released another teaser of its upcoming premium SUV, the XUV 7XO. This time, the company has highlighted the interior, confirming
a triple-screen layout. The XUV 7XO will replace the XUV700 and is expected to build on it in terms of design and features. The SUV is scheduled to make its global debut on January 5, 2026. Mahindra has already opened pre-bookings, with a token amount of Rs 21,000.
However, in terms of powertrain the XUV 7XO is expected to continue with Mahindra’s existing engine options. It will likely be offered with the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine and the 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel engine. Buyers can expect both manual and automatic transmission options. Select diesel variants are also likely to offer all-wheel drive.

The XUV 7XO will keep the overall shape of the XUV700, but several exterior changes are expected. Mahindra is likely to take design cues from its electric SUV, the XEV 9S. The biggest updates should be seen at the front, where the new SUV may get a bolder grille, slimmer LED projector headlamps, and a redesigned front bumper. These changes are expected to give it a stronger and more upright look.
Other updates may include new alloy wheel designs and revised LED tail-lamps. While the SUV will look more modern, Mahindra is expected to retain enough familiar elements to ensure it is still easily recognised as part of the XUV family.

The biggest upgrade on the XUV 7XO is inside the cabin. Mahindra has confirmed a three-screen setup, similar to what is seen on the XEV 9S. This will include a fully digital driver display, a large touchscreen for the infotainment system, and an additional screen for the front passenger. This is a clear step up from the dual-screen layout offered on the XUV700.

The SUV will also get an electric boss mode, which allows second-row passengers to adjust the front passenger seat electrically to create more legroom. The interior will feature a beige colour theme, along with a new steering wheel finished in a mix of black and beige leather. These updates are aimed at making the cabin feel more comfortable and upmarket.
