Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has dropped a major clue about the film’s cast in a recent interview, and social media users are already treating it as a near-confirmation of Shah Rukh’s much-rumoured cameo in the sequel.
Mithun’s hint sparks excitement
In a chat with SITI Cinema, Mithun Chakraborty spoke about his excitement for Jailer 2 and casually mentioned a star-studded line-up. Listing his co-stars, he said, “Mohanlal, Shah Rukh Khan, Ramya Krishnan, Shivarajkumar.”
Fans instantly picked up on Shah Rukh Khan’s name and began sharing the clip widely, reading Mithun’s statement as confirmation that the superstar will appear in Jailer 2 alongside Rajinikanth. The buzz has now turned into a full-fledged social media celebration, with many calling it a “truly pan-India collab” if it actually happens.
A rare Rajinikanth-SRK reunion
If Shah Rukh does feature in Jailer 2, it will mark a rare on-screen reunion between him and Rajinikanth. The two last shared screen space back in 2011, when Rajinikanth appeared in Shah Rukh’s sci-fi film Ra.One.
In that film, Rajinikanth had made a special appearance as Chitti, the robot, his iconic character from the blockbuster Enthiran.
