Jaipur: Chaos erupted at Jaipur’s Birla Temple on Monday, after a car narrowly escaped falling down the staircase. A family was sitting in the car, which
had gone to Jaipur on vacation. While no one was injured in the incident, thankfully, the video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The car was brought down the stairs after two hours
The police managed to bring the car down the stairs after two hours of effort. The incident had led to tension among those who had gone to visit the temple, many of whom started clicking the video. It is believed that the driver of the car was relying on Google Maps. This led to the confusion, due to which car entered the temple premises.
The police reached the spot after receiving the information. Speaking about the incident, the police said that it would investigate the entire matter before taking any suitable action. The incident took place when a large number of devotees were visiting the Temple due to the Republic Day.
The driver admits to following the Google Map
During police interrogation, the driver admitted to using Google Maps to reach a location, which led him to the temple steps. Luckily, the car wasn’t speeding at the time, otherwise it might have been a major incident. Pointing out that no one was injured in the accident, the police further said that the situation at the temple soon became normal.
Relying on technology may lead to confusion
It may be noted that relying on Google map have led to confusion on several occasions. On various occasion drivers have lost their way while following the technology. This led to several fatal accidents not only in India but abroad, too. After this incident, social media users have started urging people not to rely on the technology completely.
