Baramati: In a tragic incident, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died, along with five others, in a deadly plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday
morning. The plane crashed while it was landing in Bramati. It is believed that the bad weather lead to the crashing of the plane.
The incident took place at around 8: 45 AM. Ajit Pawar was on board the VT-SSK charter plane. This Learjet 45XRaircraft is operated by Mayfair Jets DWC LLC and was built in 2010 by Bombardier as part of their Learjet 45XR series. VT-SSK is based in VIDP . It can carry a total of 9 passengers.
The Learjet 45 and Bombardier Learjet 45XR are medium-sized business jets. They can fly at a range of 2,000 to 2,235 nautical miles. It has as capability of a high-speed flight (Mach 0.78-0.81). Powered by two Honeywell TFE731 engines, it can reach a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet and is known for its speed and efficient, comfortable cabin.
