New Delhi: The 2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S arrives with minor updates rather than major changes. The cruiser continues with the same overall design and mechanical
setup, with the key update being its engine’s compatibility with E20 fuel. Apart from this, Kawasaki has made small adjustments while keeping the motorcycle largely unchanged in terms of performance, features, and dimensions.
Pricing for the 2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S has been set at Rs 8.13 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, the Vulcan S does not have a direct competitor in the same cruiser segment at this price point. The closest alternative is the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, but it sits in a much lower price bracket, starting at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it a more affordable option rather than a direct rival.
2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S: Powertrain
The 2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S continues with the same 649 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as before. The engine’s power output remains unchanged at 61 hp, produced at 7,500 rpm. However, torque has been reduced slightly. It now makes 61 Nm at 6,600 rpm, which is 1.4 Nm less than the previous version. The biggest mechanical update for 2026 is that the engine is now compatible with E20 fuel, in line with current emission and fuel standards.
2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S: Body
For the new model year, Kawasaki has introduced a fresh colour option. The Vulcan S is now available in Metallic Flat Spark Black, which replaces the earlier Pearl Matte Sage Green paint scheme. The suspension setup is unchanged, with a 41 mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear that allows preload adjustment. Braking hardware also stays the same. The bike uses a 300mm disc at the front and a 250mm disc at the rear, both supported by dual-channel ABS for safety. However, the main change is the weight. The 2026 model is heavier by 6 kg, bringing the total kerb weight to 235 kg.
