New Delhi: Toyota has revealed a new concept car that hints at what the next-generation Corolla will look like. The current 12th-gen Corolla has been on sale
globally since 2018, and the upcoming model, expected around late 2026 or early 2027, seems to take a big leap in design and technology. Whether it comes to India or not, it is yet to be seen.
Toyota says the new Corolla will come with multiple power options, including a full-electric version, a plug-in hybrid, a strong hybrid, and even a regular petrol engine. However, the company hasn’t shared any details about power figures or range yet. Still, it’s clear that Toyota wants to make the Corolla future-ready for all kinds of markets.

The Corolla concept looks bold and futuristic. The front features a full-width LED light bar with sharp L-shaped lights on top and slatted LED strips below. There’s also a large air dam that adds an aggressive touch. The windshield is steeply raked, giving it a sporty feel, and the bonnet gets sharp creases for extra character.
The side profile looks sleek with a coupe-like roofline and a stylish kink in the window line. At the back, there’s a ducktail-style spoiler, another LED light bar, and big 21-inch alloy wheels. It’s safe to say this design is much sharper than any Corolla before — definitely more premium and athletic.

Inside, the car looks clean and modern. The dashboard is minimal and open, with most of the controls placed behind the steering wheel. The driver gets a fully digital display, and there’s also an optional screen for the passenger.
The centre console is floating, meaning it’s not connected to the lower dash, giving extra leg space for the driver and passenger. It also holds a small screen for the climate controls and a unique, car-shaped gear selector. This setup makes it look more like an EV than a traditional petrol car.
