Apart from this, Air India Express will be operating 4 flights each to and from Muscat and Riyadh. 2 services each are scheduled between Muscat and Delhi and Muscat and Mumbai. Meanwhile, there will also be 2 services each between Riyadh and Bengaluru and Kozhikode.
Non-scheduled flights
Both the carriers (Air India and Air India Express) will also be operating additional non-scheduled flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). At least 8 non-scheduled flights are planned to and from UAE, but this depends upon slot availability and prevailing conditions at the departure airports.
The ad-hoc flights are meant to provide more capacity to the airlines and would also allow flexibility to travellers. These flights are being operated after taking permissions from the Indian government as well as the local regulatory authorities.
The airlines said that all other flights to other regions of the world, like North America, Australia and Europe continue to operate as per schedule. They further informed that passengers who had booked flights to regions where the airlines has announced cancellations (read Middle East countries) can conveniently rebook to a future date at no additional charge or opt for a full refund.
The airline also provided passengers with a helpline number and an email id on which they can raise their rebooking or cancellation requests. Passengers were also advised to visit the official website of Air India, http://airindia.com or call the 24 hours helpline number for any queries.
