Dubai: As tensions escalate in the Middle East, several Indian travellers have found themselves stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to travel disruptions
and growing uncertainty in the region. In response, members of the Indian business community in the country have stepped forward with humanitarian support, offering accommodation and assistance to those unable to return home.
In Dubai, Indian businessman Yogesh Doshi, chairman of the Al Mizan Group, opened his entire residential building to stranded Indian nationals. The building, which has 64 apartments, is being used as temporary accommodation for travellers who could not return to their homes after flights and travel plans were disrupted.

The facility provides basic amenities, including food, and is being offered free of cost. According to Doshi, the initiative has been organised in coordination with the Indian People’s Forum UAE and the Consulate General of India in Dubai, NDTV reported.
So far, the effort has provided shelter to more than 125 Indians, including families travelling with children.
Many of those who found refuge said the support came at a critical time.
Several travellers were facing a stressful situation after their hotel reservations ended and they were unable to extend their stay.
They also received frequent security alerts on their phones due to the regional tensions, which increased their anxiety.
A similar initiative has been launched in Ajman, a short distance from Dubai. UAE-based businessman Dhiraj Jain has turned his large farmhouse into a temporary shelter for stranded travellers.
The facility offers free lodging and meals to people who were left without money or a place to stay.
Jain has also arranged transportation for travellers, deploying 11 cars, including six Rolls-Royce vehicles, to pick up passengers from hotels and other locations and bring them to the farmhouse.
The crisis in the region intensified after joint strikes by the United States and Israel targeted Iran on February 28. Since then, Iran has launched attacks on Israel and US military bases in Gulf countries, while Us and Israel have continued strikes on Iranian targets.
